Job Posting – Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
Part-time
Elite Diagnostics X-ray & Ultrasound is currently seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (DMS) to join our team of dedicated imaging professionals. This part-time role (3 weekdays & 1–2 Saturdays/month) offers the opportunity to work in a busy, patient-focused imaging clinic committed to high-quality diagnostics and compassionate care.
Position Overview
You’ll play a key role in delivering comprehensive ultrasound services within our multi-modality ICHSC setting. The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, excellent clinical technique, and a passion for patient-centered care.

- 10-hour shifts
- Day/evening shifts
- Monday to Friday
- On-call availability
- 1–2 Saturdays per month
- Pay: $41.00–$43.00/hour (higher pay available based on skill and experience)
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound program
- Registration and in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
- Proof of personal liability insurance in accordance with CMRITO guidelines
- Sonography Canada (CRGS) registration as a Generalist Sonographer preferred
- Competence in Abdomen, Pelvic, and Small Parts ultrasound required
- Additional experience in Obstetrical and MSK ultrasound is considered an asset
- FMF NT certification and BORN registration are assets
- CPR and First Aid training may be required
- Strong English language communication skills—verbal and written
- Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage caseloads efficiently
- Excellent attendance record and a commitment to punctuality

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Ultrasound examinations according to clinical indications and physician referrals
- Demonstrate excellent bedside manner, ensuring patient comfort and cooperation
- Produce high-quality, diagnostic images and provide clear documentation for Radiologist review
- Use RIS/PACS software proficiently to manage patient imaging and records
- Work independently with minimal supervision, while maintaining collaborative team communication
- Ensure all equipment is maintained and functioning optimally; perform daily quality checks
- Follow strict infection control protocols, including disinfection of endocavity transducers, testing for efficacy, changing HLD solutions and exam room sanitization between patients
- Adapt procedures to patient capabilities and limitations with sensitivity and care
- Uphold all regulatory and health/safety requirements, including CMRITO and Public Health Ontario standards
- Participate in peer reviews, ongoing professional development, and team-based patient care initiatives
