Position Overview:
We are currently seeking Sonographers to enhance our team in North Scarborough. In this role, you will have the opportunity to utilize your language skills to communicate effectively with patients and collaborate with healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate from McMaster University with a Sonographer license and proficiency in Mandarin and Cantonese.
Key Responsibilities
– Conduct ultrasound examinations following established protocols and guidelines.
– Utilize ultrasound equipment proficiently to capture high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
– Communicate effectively with patients in Mandarin or Cantonese to ensure their comfort and understanding throughout the procedure.
– Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality of medical information.
– Participate in departmental meetings and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from McMaster University or an accredited institution.
– Current registration with the CMRITO and Canadian Association of Registered Diagnostic Ultrasound Professionals (CARDUP) or eligibility for registration.
– Preferably Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients and colleagues.
– Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate demeanor.
– Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
– Commitment to professional development and staying abreast of advances in the field of sonography.
