We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ultrasonographer to join our team in Port Hope. As an Ultrasonographer, you will be responsible for performing ultrasound examinations on patients to produce high-quality diagnostic images. The candidate must be Certified in General US, MSK & Obstetrics and Vascular.
Responsibilities:
- Perform ultrasound examinations using specialized equipment and techniques
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and answering any questions
- Position patients and equipment to obtain optimal images
- Analyze images for quality and diagnostic value, making adjustments as necessary
- Maintain patient records and update information as needed
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Skills:
- Skilled in using ultrasound machinery and programs.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality images
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing situations
